We are seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to strengthen our remote team. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing and securing our Azure cloud environments.
You will collaborate with our development and infrastructure teams, integrating cloud security best practices throughout our Azure infrastructure. This role offers a thrilling opportunity to engage with advanced technologies whilst reinforcing the security of our cloud environments.

Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement Azure cloud security solutions using an infrastructure-as-code approach
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as development and infrastructure to enforce security best practices across the Azure infrastructure
- Create and maintain secure, compliant cloud environments
- Establish monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for security incidents and vulnerabilities detection
- Implement access management and security controls in cloud environments to ensure compliance with security standards
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards by cloud environments and applications
- Provide guidance and support to other teams on cloud security best practices
- Maintain awareness of emerging cloud security trends and technologies
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits on the cloud infrastructure
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud security processes and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in cloud security engineering or related roles
- Competency in Azure cloud security, with at least 6 months of hands-on experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
- Familiarity with implementing security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
- Proficiency in using Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Comprehensive understanding of container orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift
- Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
- In-depth knowledge of web infrastructure fundamentals such as DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Proficiency in English, both in writing and speaking
Nice to have
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or HyperScale
