Senior DevOps Engineer (relocation to Georgia) Description
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will work closely with our engineering teams to establish efficient local development environments, empowering our engineers to work productively and efficiently.
As a Cloud & DevOps Engineer you get to play a key role in migrating the Cloud infrastructure (AWS) from multiple AWS accounts into a consolidated one and streamlining the software deployment process of our inhouse developed application platform. Responsibilities
- Provide migration from AWS ECS2 to native Kubernetes, Nomad, Consul, Vault, and Krakken
- Transition from legacy platforms to new Hashicorp-based solutions
- Create a new team to learn existing infrastructure and supporting tools
- Develop and execute a strategy to migrate all infrastructure
- Handle migration as a separate exercise, independent of current DevOps teams
- Provide consultation and automation for future development and improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on infrastructure migration and management
- Strong expertise in HashiCorp tools: Terraform, Vault, Consul, Nomad
- Deep knowledge of Cloud computing, ideally on AWS
- Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code and automation
- Have some experience with programming languages (e.g. Nodejs, Python, C#) (Nice to have and preferably C#)
- Have experience in APM and Logging tools like Datadog, New Relic , ELK etc
- Experience in migrating systems from Kubernetes to Nomad
- Knowledge of network security and best practices
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and service mesh
- Can work with ambiguity and find way forward
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2+ level
