What You’ll Do

• Set up and manage Big Data Infrastructure in GCP/AWS
• Maintain a platform that efficiently operates Petabytes of data daily with close to 0 downtime
• Work with Development Teams to plan new pipelines and maintain existing ones

What You Have

• DevOps/SysAdmin background with experience in Ansible/Terraform for Configuration Management and Jenkins for CI/CD
• Experience with BigData tool sets: Dataproc/EMR/Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, Apache Livy, Dataflow, Airflow and etc
• Knowledge of container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, others)
• Familiarity with Messaging systems (Kafka, ActionMQ, RabbitMQ, etc)
• Understanding of Python and/or Java is an asset
• High level knowledge of Linux
• Strong soft skills required for effective communication with Business Decision Makers, Developers and Colleagues
• Full grasp of IaC best practices, and Agile, Scrum, XP methodologies
