Responsibilities

  • Develop high quality Microsoft stack ASP.Net WebForms or ASP.Net MVC applications using C#/.NET, SQL Server, Visual Studio, TFS
  • Lead development teams providing technical guidance and worfkload balancing and management
  • Lead advanced debugging efforts when production and development issues arise
  • Ensure that products deliver business value, are completed on time, have high quality, and minimize technical debt
  • Must be a role model for colleagues
  • Introduces process improvements
  • Participates in staff hiring/career development
  • Provides tactical vision
  • Expected to be self-managing, take technical responsibility for a subsystem or a whole project, work without supervision and test his work thoroughly using test cases
  • Expected to have proven experience in evaluating theoretical knowledge and practical (on-the-job) skills and the seniority level of candidates and providing actionable feedback and recommendations on positions/projects matching
  • Ensure that deliverables are self-certified before going to QA and customers
  • Work independently and be able to complete assignments with minimal assistance from others
  • Follow and build all team operating agreements including code coverage, peer code review, and test driven design
  • Participate and in some cases, lead in all agile ceremonies including stand-ups, grooming, demos and retrospectives
  • Work within our engineering process using TFS, TDD, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and offer suggestions for applicability within our products or processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or a related discipline)
  • 6-10+ years of experience in professional software development
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Advanced ASP.Net WebForms and MVC knowledge
  • Advance knowledge of WCF, WebAPI and ASMX WebServices (SOAP, REST, JSON)
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML development, including CSS and Javascript
  • Exceptional SQL Server development skills (queries, procs, triggers, view, indices, BCP)
  • Understanding of and experience with an Agile SDLC (such as Scrum, XP, Lean, Kanban, Scrumban)
  • Understanding of and experience developing in a Continuous Integration Environment
  • Knowledge of design patterns
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in developing .NET technology solutions
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in performance tuning of complex software systems
  • Knowledge of ORM Frameworks (such as NHibernate or Entity Framework)
