We are actively recruiting a Middle Network Support Engineer to become part of our global remote team.

The perfect candidate will be responsible for offering continuous support to our global data network, acting as the third line of support for all network-related support activities and troubleshooting.

The role of the Middle Network Support Engineer involves designing, developing, and implementing LAN/WAN network infrastructure. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to be on-call for non-business hours support in line with shift assignments. Responsibilities

  • The development, design, and deployment of LAN/WAN network infrastructure
  • All LAN/WAN alerts and issues will be troubleshooted at the third level
  • All monitoring and reporting systems will be maintained
  • Documentation for all developed/deployed systems will be produced and maintained
  • Configuration and installation of various network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS
  • Execution of network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
  • Monitoring of performance to ensure system availability and reliability
  • System resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning will be monitored
  • Selection and implementation of security tools, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the company’s security team
  • Vendors and other IT personnel will be liaised with for problem resolution

Requirements

  • Two years minimum experience in network infrastructure support
  • CCNP Certification and a BA Degree/B.S. Degree
  • Experience with Firewalls, Infrastructure, LAN technologies, OSI and TCP/IP models, and WAN technologies
  • Familiarity with next-gen firewalls such as Cisco Firepower and firewall cloud services like Zscaler
  • An in-depth understanding of routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
  • English proficiency in both written and spoken forms, with at least an upper-intermediate level of competency
  • Ability to participate and represent the team in change and incident management meetings
  • Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with customers

Nice to have

  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies such as Silver Peak
  • Preference for knowledge in configuring/troubleshooting wireless technology like Cisco WLC
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
