Responsibilities

• Optimize Linux operating systems for high-impact internet-facing production services and distributed systems
• Implement and coordinate advanced telemetry using tools like Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus
• Troubleshoot complex issues in Kubernetes and establish high standards and best practices
• Create and maintain cutting-edge automation scripts using Bash and Python
• Build and operate advanced container orchestration systems like Kubernetes or EKS
• Design and maintain robust, high-performance cloud infrastructure with AWS
• Champion innovative automation solutions to minimize manual work
• Show strong ownership and leadership, effectively communicate, and foster a collaborative team environment
• Advocate for continuous learning and improvement within the team
• Provide technical mentorship and support to team members
• Lead disaster recovery and capacity planning to ensure system resilience and scalability
• Take charge of deployment automation using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Integrate and enhance SRE practices with open source technologies like Cassandra, Kafka, Solr, PostgreSQL, and Redis

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in Linux system administration
• Expertise in telemetry tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Proficient in scripting with Bash and Python
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Knowledge of deployment automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Proven track record in automating processes and systems
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in disaster recovery and capacity planning

Nice to have

• Certifications in Kubernetes or AWS
