EPAM is looking for an experienced QA Testing Team Lead to join our team in Antwerp, Belgium aligned to one of our Insurance customers. You will lead and organize testing efforts across multiple teams while also actively engaging in hands-on testing. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, contribute to process improvements, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software. You also support bi-weekly releases with close collaboration with test automation teams.
You will be required to be on client site in Antwerp 1-2 days a week and you must be a fluent English and Dutch speaker.
Responsibilities
- Play a significant role in enhancing testing processes, suggesting improvements, and implementing best practices to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead and coordinate testing activities across multiple teams. Provide guidance, support, and oversight to testers, ensuring that testing activities are aligned with project priorities
- Analyze and clarify project requirements to ensure a comprehensive understanding, which will guide effective testing strategies and scenarios
- Create detailed test cases in TestRail, using Given-When-Then scenarios to ensure thorough test coverage and consistency
- Engage in manual testing efforts, including functional, UI, integration, and regression testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate software functionality
- Work with databases, performing simple queries to validate data integrity and accuracy
- Identify areas suitable for test automation and collaborate with the test automation team to define the scope of automated testing efforts
- Create comprehensive bug reports detailing issues and discrepancies found during testing
- Analyze test results, generate testing reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and facilitating decision-making
- Develop, refine, and adjust test strategies and plans to meet project requirements and deadlines
- Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases and closely follow up on UAT results
- Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to quarterly planning activities, ensuring testing considerations are incorporated
Requirements
- Proven experience in component and integration testing methodologies, ensuring the smooth interaction between software components
- Strong understanding of GUI testing principles and practices to validate user interfaces for usability and consistency
- Proficiency in regression testing to ensure that new software changes do not adversely impact existing functionalities
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology, having previously worked in Agile development environments and contributing effectively to iterative development cycles
- Demonstrated ability to create comprehensive and well-structured test cases that cover various aspects of software functionality
- Experience in developing test plans that outline testing strategies, objectives, and resources required for successful testing
- Proficiency in defining and implementing effective testing strategies aligned with project goals
- Fluent English and Dutch speaker
