We are looking for a seasoned Lead Software Engineer to lead development team who will work on the complex, long-term project with our client.
The customer is faced with the challenge of mastering numerous strategic tasks, such as the optimization of core processes and the associated further development of the core system. The new core system to be developed is one of the most important projects in the context of the client’s strategy development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building mission-critical Java based solutions using modern microservices architecture styles, container technologies and security approaches.

What You’ll Do
- Bringing about architectural and developmental decisions at the respective levels of the program
- Leading the development team to implement functional requirements and technical basic and cross-sectional services
- Contribution of methodical know-how on architecture and development level for a sustainable, modern target system conception, specifications and methodical control of the development process
- Establish a developer manuals and documentation
- Developmental support of test management and implementation of development related test scenarios
- Coaching of the client’s internal employees in the use and handling of modern technologies used in the new target system
- Support for the establishment and implementation of communities of practice and equivalent exchange formats for knowledge transfer and competence development
Requirements
- Experience as lead developer in large projects
- Knowledge in the development of Java based solutions (desirable Java EE and Eclipse Microprofile), architecture patterns and WebServices as well as corresponding frameworks
- Understanding of modern architectures and technologies: Several years of experience in building IT solution architectures as well as understanding and subject matter expertise
- Knowledge in designing architecture concepts (ideally "ISAQB - Certified Professional for Software Architecture Advanced Level")
- Experience and understanding of modern agile software development processes according to SAFe
- Experience in onboarding and coaching team members in technical Roles (i.e. developers)
- Excellent German and English language skills are mandatory
- You’ll be expected to work on client site 30% of the time
