We are looking for a Lead Big Data Software Engineer to join our EPAM team. In this role, you will work on innovative analytical solutions using Big Data related technologies.
Please note that this position requires relocation to Georgia, Armenia, Turkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan or Kyrgyzstan.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and help drive decisions
- Build partnerships with architects and key individuals within other functional groups
- Analyze the business problems and technical environments and use this report in designing quality technical solutions
- Participate in code review and test solutions
- Write project documentation
- Build a high-performance engineering culture, mentor team members and provide them with the tools and motivation
What You Have
- Competency in software development with Big Data technologies
- Experience in designing, deploying and administering Cloud systems
- Proficiency in Cloud-based data pipeline development
- Background in Cloud Service Lines
- Expertise in Big Data Stacks such as Spark & Spark Streaming
- Familiarity with data ingestion pipelines (simulating Extract, Transform, Load workload), Data Warehouse or Database architecture
- Experience with data modeling; hands-on development experience with modern Big Data components
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices
- Flexibility to work with Snowflake
Nice to have
- Experience in direct customer communications
- Qualifications in team-leading of data-oriented projects
- Understanding of distributed computing principles

- AWS: AWS Glue, EMR, S3, Redshift, Kinesis, Databricks, AWS Lake Formation
- Azure: Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory
- GCP: DataFlow, GCS, BigQuery, Dataproc, Cloud Composer
- Knowledge of object-oriented/object function scripting language: Python, Java, Node.js
