Currently we are looking for an Accountant - External Reporting for our Minsk office to make the team even stronger.

We are seeking for an Accountant to become part of our External reporting group, which is split between the US and Minsk. We are looking to transition our current equity tracking system to new software and the individual will be a key participant in all the implementation phases including transition, validation of rollover data and subsequent testing of parallel operation. We are looking for this individual to become the expert in the new equity system, gain deep understanding of its functionality and be the liaison between External Reporting Group and Equity Administration Group. The individual will be expected to understand the accounting for equity and advise the Equity Administration Group on proper actions and how records in the system will impact subsequent accounting and reporting. The role will require manipulation of a large volume of data in Excel. We will train the individual in main responsibilities as the position is unique.

Main responsibilities will include all reporting related to our equity footnote in the quarterly and annual financial SEC reports such as 10Q, 10K and 8Ks and adherence to all SOX controls related to equity.

Responsibilities

  • Review some Proxy reporting disclosures as requested by the Legal group
  • Produce reports out of the equity tracking system and editing them to be accurate for reporting
  • Calculate the forfeiture rate of equity
  • Quarterly calculate EPS and forecast shares outstanding
  • Participate in the transition of existing equity system to new software
  • Work closely with the Equity Administrators that are part of the HR team in the US
  • Collect data such as contracts that include equity provisions from other functions such as HR and Legal groups
  • Complete equity related reports that are needed for the Tax team in US and Minsk
  • Analyze equity related data extracted from information systems and draw conclusions
  • Build effective communication with the rest of the team and management of other functions
  • Depending on workload may be involved in preparation of other reports that support disclosures in the 10Q, 10K and 8Ks
  • Participate in XBRL tagging as needed
  • Perform tie-outs of financial statements according to SOX standards and tie-outs of reports used by management to communicate externally, as requested
  • Work with ad-hoc requests and projects as requested

Requirements

  • Ability to write documentation related to actions taken and conclusions reached
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, specifically ASC 718 and SOX
  • Basic knowledge of equity awards, equity plans, EPS and terms in the responsibilities described above
  • Basic knowledge of the SEC reports particularly EPAM’s 10Qs, 10ks and 8Ks
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, particularly during quarterly and annual reporting timeframes
  • Ability to learn and operate in external system platforms such as Certent, Wdesk, etc
  • DipIFR/ACCA or similar certification is a plus
  • Minimum 1 year of accounting or audit experience, preferably with Big 4 auditing firm
  • Fluent English
  • Highly detail-oriented, possess proven organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working experience in SAP is an advantage
