Senior Java Developer Description
We are in search of a seasoned Senior Java Developer to join a dynamic cross-functional scrum team within a prominent Wealth Management firm operating in a Broker-dealer model. The ideal candidate will contribute significantly through hands-on development and mentoring within the team.
This role is ideal for a developer who is eager to learn and grow within a supportive team environment while contributing to significant projects.

Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain code for various applications
- Build and maintain back-end Microservices and REST APIs
- Conduct unit testing to ensure application performance
- Review code to maintain standard and efficiency
- Adhere to coding practices including code review, unit testing, continuous integration, and other best practices
- Engage in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the Agile process
- Provide accurate estimates during planning sessions
- Offer guidance and mentorship to other developers and collaborate with peers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 6+ years of development work experience
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
- Competency in building and integrating APIs and microservices
- Familiarity with WebLogic
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Computer Science
- Background in Financial Services, specifically wealth management
