Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end online and offline events dedicated to community members (e.g. regional or global community meetups, tech talks)
- Collaborate with program managers on shaping agenda and event content
- Handle all event logistics
- Cooperate with various suppliers (e.g. venue, transportation, equipment; for online events e.g. virtual platforms and streams)
- Facilitate communication with attendees and panelist
- If required, play role of an event host
- Oversee budget and monitor expenses
- Create post-event summaries and reports
- Support community membership processes (onboarding/offboarding) to community program and respond to members’ queries
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ Experience in organizing and executing online and offline community events, preferably in IT industry- A must
- Ability to organize, and make sense of complex situations (managing conflicting agendas, last minute cancellations or delays, technology failures during a critical part of a presentation, on-site accidents etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking skills
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently a must
- Experience of being a member/lead of a community (developers community, student organization, non-governmental organization, charity organizations)
- Familiarity with online event platforms and virtual networking tools
