Responsibilities
- PM is responsible for writing Feature Request and an initial draft of Epic
- PM will review the Epic level requirements with PO, and hand the feature off to the PO for any final updates
- Write stories and acceptance criteria
- Prioritize stories for sprint
- Accept stories
- Actively participate in all squad ceremonies, including planning, grooming, daily standups, retrospectives
- Lead grooming (identify stories for grooming, set agenda, walk through stories)
- Not expected to lead/schedule all squad ceremonies
- Provide regular updates to Product Management on feature progress
- Escalate to Product Manager, if there is a need to rescope based on R&D output and timelines
- Address all squad questions around feature
- Advise R&D on production defects
- Ensure product manager’s access to demos, environments, and secure product manager sign-off that the developed feature meets business need, and can be made available to customers
- Administer and plan A/B testing (as needed)
- Measure feature utilization/success
- Support product rollouts
- Assist with Release Note content and other documentation as needed
- PO drafts release notes and provides to PM for approval
- Role involves heavy cross functional collaboration, including with departments outside of R&D to ensure successful product design and launch (ex: Marketing, Support, Legal, Client Services)
Requirements
- 3+ years in Product Management (as product owner, business analyst, or product manager)
- 3+ years working with software products, healthcare experience a plus
- Experience managing a team backlog, breaking down requirements, writing user stories, and validating customer needs are met
- Strong negotiation, organizational, management, analytical and people skills
- Experience with agile processes and tools, such as scrum, Kanban, and/or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Jira
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understand business needs/market context through collaboration with PM
- Assist in writing Epic level requirements, as needed
