EPAM Systems provides support service for users of a major Cloud platform. Support team is distributed between multiple locations. We are hiring Cloud professionals to extend our multi language Cloud Support team, based in Tokyo, Japan. Cloud Support Engineer/Developer Tools Specialist will provide support for Cloud Platform products, solutions and APIs, including App Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions and others.

Responsibilities
- Provide support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions and APIs, including developer products related services
- Provide technical assistance and support as part of a global support organization. Agents must be willing to work shifts between the hours of 8:00 and 22:00 JST Sunday - Saturday including public holidays
- Work closely with engineers and product managers to improve the product and make our customers successful
- Follow notification and escalation procedures
- Identify and document product bugs and feature requests and work with internal support teams as well as customers to implement effective solutions
Requirements
- Proficient in at least one of Java, Python, PHP, Go or Node.Js
- Understanding Cloud technology such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
- Comfortable working on Linux-based systems
- Comfort and experience using SQL (any dialect) to extract and manipulate data
- Hands on experience with web protocols (HTTP, TLS, etc.)
- Experience with services API development as well as creating REST and JSON APIs
- Ability to read and understand code and able to write code samples to reproduce customer issues
- Strong troubleshooting skills including the ability to read and understand logs and stack traces
- Ability to research using internal knowledge bases and public-facing documentation (Google Developers, StackOverflow, etc.)
- A strong sense of business ownership and customer focus
- Native or fully fluent Japanese communication
- Business level English communication (reading/writing/speaking)
Nice to have
- Understanding software development lifecycle
- Experience with CI/CD environment
- Experience with deployment tool such as Jenkins
- Experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
- Familiarity with parallel/distributed computing (NoSQL, MapReduce, etc.)
