Based in Toronto as a Principal, within EPAM’s Business Consulting group, you will work closely with the Vice President of Business Consulting in Toronto, to provide business development, strategic consulting and program management capability in Toronto and Canada. Drawing on your in-depth knowledge of management consulting, articulate clients’ existing and intended strategic positions and oversee the implementation of our solutions. To do this, you will need classic consulting ability combined with operational and technological experience, combining a natural tendency to take the initiative in seeing the initial deal opportunity with the ability to carry it through to completion.

Your knowledge of the current trends in banking, financial services, open banking, payments modernization and digital transformation will be thorough and it’s likely that you will have a strong personal network in this field. What You’ll Do

  • As a Principal within EPAM’s Business Consulting group, you will be expected to take a leadership role in driving growth forward in Toronto and Canada by working closely with the Vice President Business Consulting in Toronto to deliver EPAM’s solutions in Canada
  • Ability to envision, inspire and manage implementation of digital solutions based on business domain expertise and business goals, involving technology experts
  • Ability to drive guided analytics to reach complex data analytics challenges. Knows non-standard visualizations techniques and approaches and is able to combine skills with ad-hoc analytics in any conversation
  • Primary face of to assignment sponsors and senior client staff. Actively manages client relationships. Leads all but the largest consultancy assignments. Supports sales & farms opportunities
  • Can be a partner in a C-level conversation
  • Develops reputation with the client as the day to day go-to person for project related conversations
  • Suggest innovative solutions to business problems and processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, efficiency improvements
  • Uses effective questioning to uncover the root cause of a client problem and inventory the client need
  • Plans and facilitates client meetings and workshops with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Drive and differentiate between long-term and short-term business benefits, evaluate and automatically assess issues/risk and communicate them
  • Provides timely and appropriate feedback. Encourages and motivates others. Assumes 'ownership' of key initiatives when requested
  • Travel to client sites as needed

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience at Senior Manager level or 10+ years relevant industry or consulting experience combination
  • Understanding of the technological landscape relevant to the above arena
  • Multi-sector and multi-market Consulting and Business Development experience
  • Ability to establish solid working relationships with clients and to run dynamic, dispersed teams
  • Has expert knowledge in either a wide business knowledge area or multiple smaller areas. Experience in coaching other individuals is a plus
  • Has an excellent understanding of the relevant industry sector and is known as a deep SME/thought leader in 1-2 areas. Ability to lead/co-lead SME in assignments where specialization is required
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and planning skills
