DESCRIPTION


Group Technology is the IT function is responsible for building, maintaining applications and systems infrastructure with the capacity and capability to achieve our goal to be the best global financial services firm. IT supports the whole of Client’s Company across a wide range of systems and functions. Services range from business consultancy and technical architecture to analysis, solution development and project management. Technology Operations Center (TOC) within IT is accountable for maintaining availability and stability of the company Production environment

You’ll be working in the TOC (Technology Operations Center) team in Wroclaw / Poland location and will be collaborating with the WMA Operations Development and support teams based out of USA, Poland and India. The TOC team provides quality services to ensure end-to-end production stability and availability by combining optimized utility services with dedicated centers of expertise, ensuring business aligned support, always aiming to foster on customer / user needs. Our measure of success is two-fold – clear and recognized benefits into the L2 line teams and standardization of core ITIL practices at a high maturity level.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for providing hands-on Level 2 production support of Wealth Management USA's Operations & Data platforms
  • Govern production support execution is aligned to existing ITIL framework
  • Follow effective and efficient operational policies, processes and procedures
  • Ensure all forms of workload are managed in line with established processes and procedures
  • Work closely with the vendor, key stakeholders to plan for cost optimized solutions, manage delivery, implementation, process improvement and production product support
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (i.e. you know how to figure problems out)
  • Possess strong verbal, writing and communication skills
  • Preferably hands on automation tools
  • Have hands on experience to the distributed technologies: Unix, Java, Oracle / Sybase database, Autosys. Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Netcool and AppDynamics - all are very valuable skills for this role. You need to be a hand-on person
  • Have a strong ability to solve complex issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support role within Financial services industry
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of distributed environment (technologies – Unix, Java, Oracle, Sybase, Autosys), and Incident and Problem Management practices
  • Knowledge of Sybase, Autosys would be beneficial
  • Demonstrated hands-on domain skills and track record of successful projects and deliveries
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering a quality operational service to customers
  • Operating in a global team environment
  • ITIL qualified & proficient in using Service Now
  • Flexible, adaptable and pragmatic with an ability to stay focused on objectives and a can-do-attitudeorientated and focused on service quality with strong interpersonal skills comfortable at interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • Customer orientated and focused on service quality with strong interpersonal skills comfortable at interacting with colleagues at all levels
