DESCRIPTION


Our customer is a leading global information provider serving customers ranging from governments and multinational companies to smaller businesses and technical professionals.

The company brings together the deepest intelligence across the widest set of capital-intensive industries and markets. By connecting data across variables, the analysts and industry specialists present the customers with a richer, highly integrated view of their world.

The team is working in agile manner on set of projects bordering both financial services and environment business verticals: carbon quotas trading, commodities tracking, fair trade reporting. The goals is to rebuild applications’ UI and move them into cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Build modern web application using AngularJS framework using industry standard design practices
  • Work with Business Analysts to develop product specifications
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Be able to maintain and support all areas of the application
  • Assist in ensuring defects and incidents are dealt with, and that any new versions of software are released in a controlled and timely manner

Requirements

  • 4+ years of development experience
  • Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries like AngularJS, ReactJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN
  • Nice to have J2EE experience with some knowledge of SQL Server
  • Good in aptitude & problem solving
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Open minded, flexible and willing to adapt to changing situations
  • Comfortable working with global teams operating across different time zones
  • Focused on delivery
