DESCRIPTION


Our client is the UK's largest multi-channel supplier of Trade Tools, Plumbing, Electrical, Bathrooms, and Kitchens. With over 30 years’ experience in the industry, we dispatch tens of thousands of parcels every week for next day and weekend delivery to tradesmen, handymen and serious DIY enthusiasts all over the UK.

The project goal is to create a new set of e-commerce websites with a lot of localization on Magento v2, taking a handover from the previous vendor who worked on the same websites on Magento v1.
On the initial stage, there are planned to build an MVP and move to fully functional websites, taking some features OOTB and customizing the rest, integrating with existing systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in Magento development (including Magento 2)
  • Deep knowledge of the OOP framework and Design Patterns
  • Proficiency in PHP (including work with XML and files, sessions, cookies, exceptions and error processing)
  • Knowledge and experience of applying various design patterns in practice
  • Experience in version control systems (Subversion, Git or Mercurial)
  • Professional development experience with Web Services frameworks and RESTful API standards
  • Experience and understanding of Agile software development principles
  • Intermediate or higher level of spoken English (B1+)
  • Being a team player, able to work in a distributed team
  • Reliability and responsibility
  • Good communication skills

Nice to have

  • Magento Certification
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes & experience in writing different types of tests
