The Data Factory is product on request of the customer, which is one of the biggest hedge fund companies in the world.
The purpose of Data Factory is to collect economical (macro and micro) data from content originators and vendors. In addition to this, we improve data quality through extensive data analysis and implementation of established methods and algorithms. We develop comprehensive big data Platform and integrate with customer’s system to provide the top-quality data, on which multi-million financial decisions are made.

We’re currently looking for experienced Java Developers who can lead functional direction and/or small team. Knowledge of financial or data analysis domain will be a plus. Strong experience with back-end Java engineering in technology-led companies is required.

Requirements

  • Java 8+ (Core, Multi-Threading, Java Concurrency Framework)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in developing highly reliable, scalable real-time services, including knowledge of designing RESTful web services
  • Spring Boot
  • Experience in rational DB (ideally neo4j)
  • ELK stack (Elastic search, LogStash, Kibana)
  • HBase experience
  • AWS (e.g. S3, SQS)
  • Development tools and SCM (Gradle, Jenkins, Sonar, GitLab)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design patterns, good practices and Clean Code rules
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactivity
  • Flexibility (ability to adjust a solution and suggest ideas to accomplish business goals
