DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Lead Java Developer for our Guadalajara office to make the team even stronger.

Responsibilities

  • Lead as a technical guidance within the development team
  • Play the Key Developer and Software Architect roles
  • Perform the Project Coordinator, Reviewer or Auditor role
  • Act as the point of contact and bridge between the client/product owner and the development team
  • Must be a role model for colleagues
  • Be able to read, understand and, if necessary, argue or enhance project and requirement documentation
  • Be able to create high-quality design, technical and project documentation
  • Be able to follow, understand, and enhance a defined software development process
  • Build web applications with a focus on the client side
  • Perform Core Java Development with UI implementation (if necessary)
  • Design and build a scalable framework, API, or Middleware for web applications
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Constantly perform code reviews

Requirements

  • At least 5 years (ideally 7+ years) of hands-on experience with various IT technologies and frameworks
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with various Java technologies and frameworks
  • Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Solid understanding of and experience with design patterns is a must have
  • Knowledge of Spring is a must
  • Knowledge of the software development process
  • Proficient in Java coding/development
  • Solid experience working with Java core:
    • Reflections understanding
    • Collections
    • Multithreading
    • Abstract classes
    • Concurrency
    • Servlets
    • Filters
    • Exceptions (hierarchy, optimization, customization)
    • Enterprise Servlet Filters
    • Web Services definition and consumption. (REST & SOAP)
    • Nested, anonymous and inner classes
    • Serialization
  • Good practical knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
  • Unit and Integration testing experience
  • Web application, APIs, or middleware development experience
  • Knowledge of AJAX/HTML/CSS and an interest in user interface design (for a full stack developer – nice to have)
  • Experience with integration patterns and integration technology
  • Proficient communication skills and capability of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to delegate tasks and assign to the resource with the best fit for the task
  • Understanding of what is WBS
  • Upper-Intermediate English is essential
  • Previous experience leading/coordinating small to medium sized teams (3-9 people it’s a must)
  • Experience with agile methodologies is a must:
    • Ability to provide accurate both high and low level estimations
  • Experience acting as one of the following roles is strongly recommended:
    • Technical Leader
    • SPOC- Single Point Of Contact
    • Scrum Master
    • Onsite with offshore/nearshore team
